About

The aim of the training is to form practical skills in building an organization’s strategic communications strategy, namely: identifying a hierarchy of tasks, analysing the audience, defining a communications strategy, working with channels of communication, and ways of evaluating the effectiveness of communication.

The training is designed for communications specialists working at state agencies and NGOs.

Programme

The training program includes the following modules:

  • Review of best practices of communications planning in Great Britain, the US, and NATO member-states
  • Systemic communications planning. Algorithm of steps
  • Target audience analysis
  • Choosing an evaluation metric
  • Case studies

The course is taught using methodological materials on planning a communications campaign developed by StratcomUA, based on international experience.

The training helps prepare for communicating with journalists from target media, to better explain the company, its position, problems, proposed solutions, and outlook.

The aim of the media training is to improve skills in communicating with journalists, initiating journalist requests for expert comments.

The training is designed for company directors, state authorities and NGOs.

Programme

The training program includes exercises in:

  • Preparing presentations for the media, defining key messages.
  • The art of presentation (verbal communication).
  • Handling Q&A
  • Emphasizing the most important information. Exclusivity of messages.
  • Behavior modeling.
  • Establishing effective communication between the media and state authorities/NGOs.

The course is taught using methodological materials on planning media events developed by StratcomUA, based on international experience and adapted for the Ukrainian media environment.
